ReplyDeleteIt was a lovely match last night between Arsenal and Newcastle at the emirates. Eddy Howe must be doing something spectacular with the Toon Army. Defeating Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates has put them one step into the final of the carabao cup pending the return leg. I will be shocked if no big team snaps Isak away from Newcastle either this January transfer window or at the end of the season. Tonight, Tottenham shall be hosting Liverpool. This game is poised for a Liverpool win as Spurs' form has gone beyond being tupsy turvy to a state of comatose.

I was nine turning ten when I started following mum to her shop to make wears. I love to create the design and bead the wears . I could almost imagine any design in my head and I did tell mum to recreate it.
My siblings and I were also immersed in mum's business, like taking the calls on the telephone to attend to her customers.
Mum preferred me to attend to her customers because she said I had asumili asumili ( foreign accent) . I take her calls and attach the customers names to the measurements. Ofcourse using the assumili accent . I couldn't have had it easier, it was like I was born with it.
Mum encouraged my other siblings to read foreign books so that they could speak like I do.
It was an Eke market day in Lagos, eke market in my vicinity refers to the popular VASWANI market , where traders from neighbouring countries such as Benin Republic converge to buy the wares they need.
After the market mum always buy IFE AFIA for i and my siblings to compensate for the troubles she put us through getting set for the market .
You see, AFE AFIA is the magical word to get us to do her bidding. At the mention of IFE AFIA, my siblings and I makes sure that the beads are well stoned, the customers measurements are accurate , the right name attached to the measurements and the pick up date given.
IFE AFIA brings so much joy and obedience in us and I can't wait to have it.

ReplyDeleteSo this year, I decided to make peace with those I had grudges with.
There is this my neighbour that I had a small disagreement with, she went and started telling lies and tarnished my name in the neighborhood. Big big lies o.
I now stayed very far from her, no greetings, nothing. In fact, she didn't exist to me after that issue. She would greet me and I would ignore. Yes, I can keep malice for years but I am now a "changed" person 🤣
She travelled last December and came back this past Sunday. Due to my "changed" self, I welcomed her very well, carried one of her luggages with smiles, wished her a happy new year and prayed for her.
The shock on her face was funny 🤣

Towards end of last year, I started detaching myself from my Android phone gradually cos I discovered that I was too attached to it. If I misplace it within the house I would almost have a heart attack, kilode?
ReplyDeleteNow I wake up and pray, check my messages and drop it since I have a small phone which I use for calls.
I don't go back to it untill I'm done with cooking, school run and balanced inside my shop.
Then I check messages, read SDK blog, Facebook and the rest for one hour. Drop it again till afternoon, except I hear message beeps. Then I check the message.
Before now, I would press phone till the food on the fire gets burnt.
I would press phone till it goes off. Never again. When it's not as if I'm a content creator. Let me set a good example for my kids jare.
Nice. I also plan to stay away from my phone this year. I want to invest my time in my business and prayer life

Place a local bread pan upside down in it.
Then place your baking tray filled with beans paste and let cook for 20mins, with tight lid. You may place small mortar ontop to hold it.
It must dry up the water before you take out the moimoi.
If the edges are not caked( that is turn a little brown and lift up) don't take it out.
Cut the edges and roll.
