  1. I went to the market this evening to buy some foodstuff to prepare meal for dinner. I was told waterleaf it's now been sold for 600. I was like how? Something I bought 400 last week and was even complaining, only to hear 600 today. The Onion I bought 500 got me laughing. Nigeria is now for the strong, I'm telling you.

Those days with 5,000 you can prepare a pot of soup as an individual but today, you get to spend close to 10,000 if not more. To think I'm someone who doesn't eat without enough protein in my meal. So I asked the lady if there are chances that the price of waterleaf will crash down and she said yes. She cited dry season as the reason. She says next year once it's raining season, the price wish crashed along side other produce. They spend heavily on water almost everyday watering the crops. So I understand the hike.

A woman here uses long host(pipe) connected in a pump closeby to water her farm every 2-3 days weekly. I heard she pays the owner of the water each time she uses it. So you understand better now the reason of the hike. She sold a big bag of waterleaf few days ago as I heard @103,000 naira with abeg. She doesn't take her farm produce to the market again. People now come to her farm to buy directly. On my inquiry, I heard she rented the 4plots of land she's using to farm for 100,000 annually.

Good business insight I must say. She also cultivate cassava, waterleaf, plantain, pawpaw, vegetables, banana and coconut.

I live in a rural area with 35mins drive to town. Lots of land this area both for sale and also for lease. Reason is that, the place is still developing. So people are just buying and keeping their lands for future use. If you're lucky, someone might offer the land to you for farming freely, just like my aunt and her husband got theirs.

I got a portion of banana farm close to my residence last year October from someone who relocated to town on a token for farming purpose. Guess what? I have five bunch about to be harvested. I will leave it till next month so it will mature very well. Though it's not expensive here. I heard from people a bunch goes for 3,000. Let's say the five bunch is 15,000. Some people who rented lands here use it for poultry as well and they're doing very well and feeding fat.

I'm thinking towards leasing a plot of land since it goes for 100,000 and 80,000 annually but still contemplating if it's what I can do. From now till the end of this month, I will come up with a decision. But first, I need to know more about farming and how to do it before venturing into it.

  9. Happy Friday! First weekend of 2025. I am here trying to figure out if I should do my annual investment or hold my money close to me. It will take a huge sacrifice and I am not sure if I can hold it together until December. Anyways, it's a quiet Friday afternoon at work today, everybody still in holiday mode until Monday.

I heard that there is a new virus outbreak in China yet again. Please be careful in your comings and goings and those travelling a lot, do please take extra precautions.

For anyone interested, Apple TV will be having a free viewing weekend. Finally an opportunity to check out some of their shows and see if there is anything interesting on their platform.

Ladies in the house please how do you remove artificial nails without damaging your natural nails. They used superglue. I have tried using nails desolver but it's not working. Two of the nails are paining me seriously. No nail technician around my village. Help a sister.

    2. Sorry Anonymous A nice friend recommended to me to use acetone to remove your artificial nails....Use the super glue on the artificial nails not on your natural nails....

Then you can use press on nails which I am currently wearing......It's another great alternative than superglue....

      Delete
    3. Most women go back to the nail bar for a removal service, usually it is priced quite low. But confirm the price before you book an appt.

Called to break out of the situation. I have been in tears and trying to get over it. I want to get over the memories. Been deleting all our memories together and unfriending on apps. 20. When we were younger, my sister and I deviced a means of having our private discussions in our mum's presence using "upside down langauge" Eg saying "Me help my wash formuni" instead of "help me wash my uniform"
I can't tell if my mum understood us sha but she let us do our thing.

My two youngest siblings (13 and 21) have always had long conversations using spellings for as long as I can remember, they spell out the words really fast and they understand themselves very well. I never paid attention to them cos I thought they did it to confuse our mum and I could follow up their conversations if I wanted to. Not so easy. Before I decode what one person is saying the other would have replied and I just can't keep up. I'm just here wondering how they came up with that style of communication.
