ADVICE NEEDED
How do I make new friends as a 27-year-old lady who lost most of her friends because of a long time of unemployment and single and brokenness? I am still all of these things, though, but I am still trying to find my footing in life.
How do I make new friends as a 27-year-old lady who lost most of her friends because of a long time of unemployment and single and brokenness? I am still all of these things, though, but I am still trying to find my footing in life.
Yes, most of my friends got married and shoved me aside, and even the one I did chief bridesmaid for, I cried for this one .
I just want to make new friends and better my life.
Note, that I am broke ;unemployed and single and have a face full of acne.
I run a business but it's not yielding much profit.
Please my advice to you is to forget about making firends and face front...With all these that you explained, who will wanna be friends with you? You are like a liability...Please work on yourself and friends will look for you.
When you make something out of your life, the friends that shoved you aside will look for you......
Please work on the pimples....I dont even know what to add to this, your being broke and unemployed is a big problem...
Please i wish you all the best but forget making friends for now....Keep us updated...
God fix it.
ReplyDeleteDOZZYBEST.
You can start small. Your neighbours, your church members.
ReplyDeleteDear Gentle Poster,
ReplyDeleteCome take some sugar hugs 🫂🫂 I can imagine how you feel but I think your mind is fixated on all the things that are not working....From your write-up, you seem to wear on these on your face like a makeup foundation....What you feel inside of you will always radiate outwards....You need to have a cheerful heart.....
People will always disappoint you especially those who stood with but at your low point, they all of a sudden turn their backs....That is L.I.F.E...Welcome to Life!!! But you must pick up yourself; not to prove to anyone but to your life that you can do it....
Don't tell your story from a place of self-pity, highlighting your ''imperfections'' and have a bitter spirit....Speak positively into your life, use affirmative words to describe yourself....You have cried enough; it is time to take charge of your life and avoid the pity party....Don't paint a sad tale of your life; you are a work in progress.....
Business will always have it's ups and down; it's cycle....If it's not yielding profit, can you leave it aside and get another job or change your line of business? Be open; be cheerful, reach out to people from a place of value not from a place of pity or cajoling.....
Concerning your pimples, I understand that it can affect your self-esteem, visit a pharmacist and ask for Benzoyl Peroxide and apply consistently....Nobody has it easy, no body is perfect but we can make the most out of life with beautiful imperfections....
Finally before you look for friends, be your own best friend, love yourself, stop dancing in your pity party and keep pressing on....
All the best....
Thank you jare Phoenix.
DeletePoster no one has it easy, we all have our challenges but we dust ourselves up everyday, putting God first and moving forward. Enough of the pity party abeg. In fact, you need to ask God for forgiveness for the way you just described yourself, don't you know you were created in his image?
Take your time o!
God bless you "Saint Elsewhere" The world needs people like you. Love the way you took your time to attend to someone in need. Sometimes it's not about money, it takes that extra love and concern for someone in need.
DeletePoster, please take all the advise "Saint Elsewhere" has given, it is surely a good place to start.
All will be well eventually. Love yourself first.
Awwww 🤗 I felt love reading this ♥️ Phoenix dear, you're such a beautiful soul 🥰

Hello iya Boys
Don't worry poster, being unemployed and being broke is nothing to be ashamed or sorry about. Your story will surely change, it won't remain this way. I pray that you meet just one solid friend that can open a door of employment for you. Keep asking God for guidance.
ReplyDeleteAs for your acne, read up on how to go about it.
If you are the type that like eating oily food and expect to have a smooth face, stop it.
DeleteWork on your self esteem and trust God for a better tomorrow
Mao Akuh
Please stop belittling yourself!
ReplyDeleteWhat's broke, unemployed, face full of acne blah blah? 🤨 Change that mindset abeg and place value on yourself, everyday is a new day to begin afresh.
I can assure you that those friends of yours saw how you treated and spoke about yourself that's what gave them the audacity to act the way they did. Remember no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
Bone them and face your life. Even if it's a sales girl job, please go out and get something. Start somewhere. Jesus took five loafs and two fishes, gave thanks to God and they multiplied. Take that little job/business etc, give thanks to God for it everyday and watch him multiple it. Going out everyday opens you up to new and better opportunities, friendships, Connections etc.
Babe, be consistent with the little you have and see what happens, always put God first, work on your self- read books, follow pages that boosts your confidence and esteem, run far away from whoever wants to belittle you (love them from afar and pray for them but set healthy boundaries).
All the best.🫂
Yea i agree,be consistent & focused on finding your joyful place 👍

Hello poster,it's well with you 🤗. Work on yourself and try to get a job even if it's teaching jobs. For your acne, try to detoxify and take lots of water and fruits.
ReplyDeleteMay the Lord come through for You 🙏
ReplyDeletesorry about the phase you are passing right now in life, i decided to stay away from friends cos i am not lucky with them but i have few persons i call friends from afar which is the best in life. You should have friends among your siblings, if you have a guy you are dating i would encourage you to build friendship with him than looking for female friends out there.
ReplyDeleteNow that you are jobless, unemployed you don't need to have friends cos the pressure will frustrate you, make you go gaga. They will always rub their achievement, relationship on your face which will give you heart attack. Concentrate on building your self esteem, work hard to learn a skill. If you have a job or skill that takes your time, believe me you will not have time to look for friends.
Get busy please, after all you have been through in the hands of friends you are still here looking for friends. Join unit in church, go for winning souls, read books, greet your neighbours, you must be friendly before you can make friends.
Broke or not, you deserve friends. No one can exist alone. I don’t know if u are a Christian, but if u are, join a good church and be active, I bet u will make one or two friends from there. Some of my best friends today come from the church I joined.
ReplyDeleteI’m sure there will be other suggestions here for u too
Be yourself friend, take a walk, or change your environment, if one business is not working, do another one or look for a paying job, maybe your friends desert you because, they think you will be begging from them, friends will look for you when you make it.
ReplyDeleteIf you're fair in complexion, you can look for a face cream that can clear pimples and dark spots, you will be fine, trust me.
Join NSPPD, especially the ongoing fast, you must testify! Ask your family members for data and join the 7am NSPPD prayers. What God cannot do does not exist!!!!
ReplyDeletePoster wash your face throughly morning, afternoon and evening and apply JRA cream. Change the towels every time you use it. Change your pillowcase every two days. For now focus on your business or open a more profitable one while you look for employment if you didn't complete your education set up a business that generates income and go back to school. Those were not real friends. Once you become succesfull then you will understand that no one is truly your friend but God. Is good to have acquaintances, networking and few friends but never completely trust or depend on others. They will surely disappoint you. Learn to love yourself and to surrender to God. Let him lead you. Pray, study, plan, be focused and be consistent. You will make it and when you do, trust me, people will flock around you. It will be up to you then to differentiate the fake ones from the real ones. May God guide, protect and open doors of blessings for you.
ReplyDeleteBe a friend to others genuinely. Show care and support and don't force or push it. The once that wants to stay will stay. Learn to love yourself too. You can't be thinking so little of yourself and expect others to regard you.
ReplyDeleteJust that you really need friends if not eh it's to drink water and be minding your business. When you get your life together, na friends go dey chase you.
Rhapsody
It's good to make friends, poster but it's not what you should force.
ReplyDeleteFocus on yourself, be grateful for what you have now, work on being better and trust in God. Others will fall in place.
I wish you all the best.
Big hugs dear, you are beautiful 🥰 And God will make things fine again for you. Don't know much about pimples facial treatment so I'll leave that for the professionals on here 😊
ReplyDeleteBegin by smiling always, it tells people you're happy with life 🥰
Believe that you're beautiful & ignore that nay voice telling you otherwise 👍
Believe that God can turn your life around...yes that's why Jesus came 💟 You can apply thru online job sites or start a little business so you're confident doing something for yourself 👍
Take it from me, those are not real friends...forget about them & focus on making your life joyful 💃💃 All the best dear ♥️
Hello sweetheart.
ReplyDeleteYou are beautifully and wonderfully made.
Don't let anyone make you believe otherwise..
Being broke is not a disease.
I wish you explained few things like
Where you base?
Do you have anything doing at all?
Do you have handiwork?
What are your dreams?
I am not be rich but if I know these things, it might help to know if there is somewhere I come in.
The Lord is your strength Sis .
Don't give up

ReplyDeleteDon't work yourself up over nothing ok, Just focus on building yourself esteem again.
ReplyDeleteAre you aware that sadness and worries affect your health overall, no matter what you eat and drink, if you are not happy and stop worrying, you won't have that glow, talk more of a smooth face.
Why don't you get okin soap of 200naira, at least it affordable and just get the original one, it will help clear the acne, then make water , especially early morning warm water and lemon your friend.
Above all, trust in God for a change and stop worrying, it will be fine, Friends or not, live your life.
Please dear poster listen to Eka's advice. Please change your friends for now. Find new friends in the church, come online to ask blog and cheer yourself up. You may have to make friends beneath your level but I swear some of them are the realest .
ReplyDeleteKeep any friend who wouldn't make you feel inferior or devalued.
Please dearie most importantly, never stop praying and asking God to change your story. It may take a while but he surely will.
*SDK blog*
DeleteI have been in this same situation but without the pimples and I changed my friends, always on SDK blog , never stopped praying and these kept me happy and going.
