ReplyDeleteYesterday on my way back home, I decided to buy one fresh catfish and cook egusi soup after bv Courage gave reviews about the fish.
I got to the woman and discovered the lowest price was 2000 per one. However, there was this man that I met there, like late 40s or early 50s, the woman told him rudely to move to one side and allow her attend to better customers. I was pissed with the way she spoke rudely to him and I think she noticed. She now told me with sign language to calm down. I took a look at the man, he was holding a polythene bag, I saw vegetables peeping out of the bag.
He stood there for a few more minutes and then left.
That was when the fish seller told me that the man was begging her for fish. He wanted her to dash him one fish, it was the reason why she treated him that way as she was very angry that a mature man like that would see a struggling woman and come beg her for fish. She said though she sells fish, she hardly cooks it at home because that would be half of her gain for the whole day if she cooks just one fish. So she cooks the fish once in a blue moon, she goes for cheaper fish or pomo instead and sometimes, she cooks with just crayfish.
I was just shaking my head. Must he cook with that fish? or his wife or boss sent him to buy fish and he spent the money? cos I don't understand. If he was begging for garri or rice or yam, one would understand that his family was hungry. In fact, I would abandon the fish I wanted to buy and buy any of the above foodstuff for him. Shameless man. Mtcheeeeeew

ReplyDeleteLast night I was watching a movie, my daughter walked in to pick up her home work notes that she left in the sitting room, then looked at the TV and laughed, I asked why she laughed, she said and I quote " He is toasting her"
Na wa o, my innocent little baby of yesterday now knows the meaning of "toast". Wonders shall never end!
I asked her if anyone has toasted her in her school, with a frown, she answered NO. I now gave her small s*x education. I'm just scared for the girl child.
God help us parents

She came to me few days ago, told me she is broke but wants to attend a wedding in another state by all means, wants me to make her clothes (two dresses) on credit, she even said they bought the also ebi for her. She promised she will settle me when she comes back and she picks up financially. I told her i can't do it o. Since then she doesn't greet me again. Good riddance abeg. I should use credit to lay foundation of my business. Yeye people.
