Didn't believe I will eat pork meat someday until my ex made me to eat it one faithful night and ever since then, I have been eating it. Now they have started again today telling me how sweet dog meat is compare to pork meat. Almost everyone during the argument spoke in favour of dog meat over pork meat.

So last week Sunday, I bought five cups of rice to prepare jollof. Little did I know that my gas is almost empty. During parboiling, the gas went off. I sent my cousin staying with me to hurriedly go and refill. Ever since my spare gas got spoilt, I no longer have spare in case of any eventuality. There was no where he didn't look for it but been on a Sunday, we couldn't get. I became so tired and confused what to do next.
Before I could say jack, my cousin had gone out to get some firewood oo. Guy man was so hungry. Everything was on ground including washed fish and all that. At the back of my apartment, there's a space directly facing my window. He set the woods there, lit it and called me. This was how we began our cooking again. Not too long we were done with the rice and the fish fried. Two plates were served. One for him and one for me.
Goodness me! The rice was so sweet and tasted so great. I love fried fish anytime any day over cooked fish. My cousin even confirmed that the rice is da bomb. The ones I have been cooking with my gas has never come out great like the one I cooked last Sunday using firewood. After that experience and notice, I have decided I will only be using gas for soups, spags,noddles and stew rice. But you see jollof rice and beans baaa, na firewood I go dey use now. Thank God I have the space in my corner.
Two days ago I was discussing with mom when I told her about the different taste in the rice I cooked and wanted to know why firewood cooked rice tastes so good. She said probably the rice cooked with firewood get done very well but the one on gas, the water hurriedly dried up due to the burning pressure and all that. I discussed it again today with a friend to see if there will be a different answer. Guess what the person said? She said it's the smoke that makes it come out great with a party jollof flavour. I laughed and said smoke ke? She said yes.

Delete@Joan i exercise 4 times a week and I'm on a strict diet my weight gain is due to meds so i do my best to keep fit. You can it's all about commitment you could start by little home exercise when you wake up in the morning 5-15 mins and gradually you'd be able have extended hours.

Then Came LIB(UK) and I totally enjoyed it! The men were ready for marriage.

It's hard when you work from home to feel interested in socializing on a Friday evening. I have become a hermit. I'm an introvert/extrovert so I can go with the flow. Nothing planned, just gonna suck up God's oxygen and let my lungs do their thing.

ReplyDeleteMy mother complains about everything, she complains about meals I cook(it's either she says seasoning is not enough or it is too much), she complains about my colour(she is light skinned while I am dark), she complains about the rashes on my face(it's because she is stressing me), she complains about my size(I am a shapey plus size), she complains about my job(I am a teacher), she complains about my clothes too(she keeps saying I buy cheap fabrics with colors that are not appealing to the eyes)etc.
ReplyDeleteNothing is ever good enough for her, her complaints are beginning to mess with my confidence and I have panic attacks whenever she is coming around because there must be complaints about one thing or the other from her(we don't stay together but she comes to my base once or twice in a month for some transactions and projects).
She is also the queen of silent treatment and attitude if she doesn't get what she wants e.g when she starts complaining and I fire back, she starts the silent treatment immediately or if I wear a dress and she complains about the color and I refuse to change it, she starts giving me attitude.
She wants to move to my base fully and she wants me to get a bigger space for us so we can leave together pending when the project ends. I don't want this at all and I don't know what to do/say to discourage her. I want everyone to live in their different space when she moves here, I'll be visiting her twice or thrice in a week.
How do I go about this please

It's funny though that I spend almost half of my salary on transportation .A room self con is above 1m in Ikeja..Anywhere close is like 500-700 excluding agency, commission and caution which is now 100/100/50 and above.
In terms of accommodation,I miss ekiti.
Ikorodu and ayobo have cheaper and well furnished accomodation but the distance to work is too much.
This jollof rice mk sense oo na local with dry fish I put scent leaves join😘😘😘 tasting delicious.
