Word For Today -Your Problem Serves a Purpose!

Are you trying to bind and cast away your problems?that is OK but have you pondered on why God allowed it to happen?

Today's discuss is drawn from 2Kings 5! Somehow, I've lived long enough to realise that everyone irrespective of status, culture or religion has a problem!

It's either single folks are longing for spouses whereas married folks are secretly yearning to opt out, or skinny people are trying to gain weight whereas fat people are trying to trim down. As basic as it may be, everyone is dealing with something!

However, I have a word for you today; YOUR PROBLEM SERVES A PURPOSE! So, while you try to bind and cast away your problems, also ponder; if God allowed it to happen, then He allowed it for a purpose.

In our text(2Kings 5), Naman was an incredible army commander who from Syria, led a troop that fought Israel.

Let me stay with Naman for a moment. Naman was outwardly successful, accomplished and highly respected by many. He earned himself respect. You see, you don't get respect just because you want it, you get it only when you earn it. Naman was the Nelson Mandela of his generation, but in his privacy lied a secret problem undetectable by the masses, he was a leper!

Is it not funny how people can look just as beautiful as the bouquet of roses, almost having you think they got no problems whatsoever?

The truth is; Oftentimes, people envy others for their achievements, not knowing what they go through behind closed doors to remain who they are.

Friend, whatever you are presently facing is for a purpose, and its been said that at least 5000 people around the world are going through similar problem. You are not alone. Most importantly, God is on your side.

I hate to stop here, but I have to. I have so much to share on this, but it will be a long read. I will continue on Friday next week, God willing.
