  1. Well, I'm short of words. Has the man agreed to marry the lady as second wife or just take responsibilities on the baby?

    3. I really do not know what I would do. I'll be shattered and broken for a long time. I might forgive him eventually though. I guess it depends mostly on how remorseful he is, and how willingly he is to win back my love...

Take it God in prayer. Lean not on ur own understanding. In all ur ways trust the Lord.

    5. Hmmmmm

I forbid this situation for me!

But should in case it happens, what I would do is to give him dead silence and allow him do whatever his mind tells him (could care less about his money cos I got mine!!!)

The good news is that I will become FREE!!! He should just forget faithfulness/loyalty on my part towards him.

I won't run off to the next dick, but will cool down and find me another beautiful heart to connect with! That way, him o, his new baby o and baby mama won't even scratch me! Will just focus on my HAPPINESS and my children! Will never advice him again so that he'll crash like a pack of cards!

Will only stop hurting him back if the spirit leads me or I get tired!

If the anger doesn't go away after all these, I just may leave him! If it goes away, we will continue managing*; but things just may never be thesame again!

You all had better divorce that cheat else you have severe low esteem issues.

This is difficult mehn! I think it will take someone in this situation to answer this because i can't even imagine it in my head. Also, it's depending on the circumstances surrounding their gbenshing. Were they having an affair? Was it a one time thing? A mistake? These questions need to be answered first.

I will not walk away. Because I love him, I will wait to see if he still wants me and more so love me.

In one case I know of, the lady walked away. The man "married" the woman that bore him a son. They wanted to "relocate abroad" only for the DNA test to prove that the child is not the man's. Marriage scattered and the man was sulking. By then the other wife was already in a relationship.

So believe me when I say, if you love your husband you will accept the baby cuz she didn't ask to come or be saddled with the anger u have. Karma will visit the culprits later. 3. @the woman with 6 months love child.
I can't help but comment because I find your story intriguing and quite unusual. I cannot stress myself to look after my husband's love child who will always put her mother first before me when she is older.

Is your husband rich? Do you work? I might forgive my husband and ignore the mistress and her child but to bring her into my matrimonial home is a big NO! You try o! What kind of love do you have for your husband? There is something you are not telling us? Did you date married men before you married? Do you take it as your nemesis? Or you are using feji to make your husband love you? It reeks of desperation to me. He will still be sleeping with her and the mistress will be seeing herself as second wife already.

No, I will not divorce him if it happens to me just to spite the mistress and to make his life a living hell with my sudden change in character. And the reason for not leaving him is not because I am foolishly in love, because my teacher's salary cannot train my children to university and I won't deny him that responsibilities, so he will go and spend his money on his mistress and their love child.

You married at 23 and your marriage is 23 years old, and your first child is 17 and youngest 8? You didn't have children on time? Maybe your reason to accept feji into your home?
I am curious? WHAT IS THE MAIN REASON YOU ACCEPTED YOUR HUSBAND'SLEPT LOVE CHILD INTO YOUR HOME?

      Delete
  35. Good question Stellz. Won't leave my hubby coz of that. Will discuss it my hubby if he loves me. We'll both talk with d lady. She has only one option: bring the baby for me to raise after 6months n she'll go n look elsewhere for her husband. During which there will be no communication with my hubby without my consent. If she declines, then let her do d raising herself without a dime from us (myself n hubby). She chose to sleep with him so she'd deal with it. As for hubby, his own punishment dey pocket. Mistakes happen. Love hurts. But in a home where love resides, compromises are made. Stay n fight for your marriage, so long as d man already regrets his actions n keeps professing his undying love for you

  44. Hmm. Na wa. So what would your husband do if u get pregnant for another man? Would he also be so quick to stand by you like many of you sed you would?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Wow! Stells, that's a rather vague question with zero facts. I hope the lady involved wouldn't take our opinions to heart and act accordingly because each case has different facts. She should read our comments for what they truly are, comments. If she needs advice, perhaps it should come under the Chronicles Post where we can be furnished with more information.‎

I was/am lucky and blessed to marry the man after my heart and we love each other more with each passing day. It's almost 14 years of one of the best adventures of my life and what I feel for him is so solid and real that I can't imagine a scenario where I would end my marriage, certainly not over something Iike having a baby outside wedlock. Would that break me? Oh for sure! I already feel sick trying to imagine it. Still, I wouldn't consider it grievous enough to end my marriage.

When I've gone through all the emotions and I now have clarity of mind, I would want to know why it happened and be sure I am blameless in what transpired to be sure it was purely his indiscretions. God forbid he has strong feelings for the lady in question because that would make everything more complicated. Whatever it is, it would be more prudent to bring the baby home and pray for God to give me the grace to love the innocent child like one of mine. It gets tricky if the mum refuses to let go of her baby. You can't force a mother to give up her child.‎

No matter how you slice it or dice it, it is a horrible situation which no wife should go through but what's done is done and cannot be undone. It's left for the couple involved to make the best out of an unfortunate situation. This is where patience and forgiveness would be tried and tested. I know that it wouldn't be easy but a praying wife can survive anything with God fighting for her.‎

  46. I wouldn't know what i will do! There are times when things happened to other people, the way one would react will be different if same thing happens to you.
So, in this case, i will try and keep my cool. If one is able to keep her cool, it will be easier for me to think of what i will do after interrogating my husband, maybe the woman too.
I pray never to witness or experience such heartbreak. I knew what one of my older sister went through when she found out that her fiance impregnated some girl after being with the guy for more than 12years. She spent 3months on the hospital bed. It was even the period they were planning their wedding back then. So, no one can really determine how they can react to such news.

    2. @Eni, I like your honesty. I cannot look after a mistress child! I will be hurting too much. Maybe later in years when the child is older, and my kids are adults, I can have a cordial relationship with the child. After,I have tutored my own children well to know he or she is a step sibling and there are invisible boundaries. Because no man will accept another woman's child into his own home wholeheartedly! Then why should I accept his own mistake?

  51. it happened to me and I cried my eyes out....meanwhile the stupid bitch thought my husband will marry her but he refused.....I prayed and told GOD TO CUT HER OFF FROM MY HOME....I gave my husband hell at the beginning tho but I later calmed down...the most painful to me was that we did not have kids yet and he was dogging around..i know all the miscarriages and pains I went through looking for a child..me I sha was praying and fasting for God to judge them, I cried to God from the dept of my pained soul....she had the daughter very premature but the baby later died....I wasn't happy the baby died but I guess GOD FOUGHT MY BATTLE AS HE WANTED....I CANNOT BE IN A MARRIAGE AND BE FAITHFUL TO YOU THEN YOU TREAT ME LIKE A DOG....I have told hubby that if I hear of another affair na dia my own groove go start...
I have my own 2 children now to the glory of God....I know I cannot blame the woman cos it was my hubby who went after her but when you find out a man is married and cos the woman has no child you go there and try to remove her so you can be wife na u go fail....if all women stay away from wandering dicks men will stay faithful. If u suspect your man is not faithful then by all means snoop, it can save you plenty heartache.....

  53. which one is find out what went wrong na? let me tell you what went wrong. her horseband dipped his cock inside another womans punani and got her pregnant period. it has happened and nothing can be done bout it. i can take it if he cheats on me coz men cheat its their nature and that i cant change but i cant take it if he cheats on me without a condom and get a bitch pregnant. oooh my he will regret the day he said yes i do to me. i wont hate the child but that child will be a reminder of how messed up his life is gonna be for a long time.

  54. What if the man in question is not remorseful? What if he flaunts the woman and her child with reckless abandon? I'm sorry but i will not play the "good wife" and stay like everyone is saying... I will only stay and try to forgive him after a very long time after i must have shown him pepper and depending on how hard he trys to win me back..

  55. I won't be able to take it. If the tables were turned, no man would tolerate such, so why must we women always put up with whatever nonsense thrown at us? If such happens in my household, I would immediately file for divorce and spousal support plus child support if we have kids.... (These may not fully apply in nigeria but in the society we live in, I will be guaranteed all this and more) ...Ill get myself a new place and I'll move out. The thought of my husband all over the place having unprotected sex is just totally repulsive and unacceptable to me. I'm sorry to say but many Nigerian men do this and it's so wrong! Any man that lives such a life has no regards for his wife and deserves to get what ever treatment will come to him.

  56. In James voice... The wife obviously don't know how to gbensh or she's too fat, that's why the horseband and outside to get a woman preggers.
OK, if it happens and she moves out, who go lose? Abeg woman, don't make it easier for him by leaving, but if he leaves, don't go after him because that signifies the death of your relationship.

  57. Well 2 of my aunties looked after deir husband's children till adulthood. If dey don't tell u dt my aunties didn't gv birth to dem u won't knw. Though I can't imagine it. But if it does happen, I wld just tell d lady to gv up her child for us. I no send u to get belle for married man. If she refuse OYO is her case. Cos hubby go sign court order sat he won't hv any thing to do with the lady again. As for hubby I will make sure I rob him blind. It's obvious he has too much money as he has mind to get girl friend. I will make sure I chop him to brokenness.

  58. If we haven't got any child(ren) together, i'll walk away. If we have children together, our account would be separated and focus on those children.

  61. Sdk, it depends on the individual and the elements surrounding the situation. Some will stay, some will walk out! Factors like money, sex, age and family support comes to play.

If it happened to a woman in her 40's-60'a, where does she wants to go? All her hardwork will go down the drain? MBanu!

If the man is wealthy, she will leave him for the other woman and child to enjoy it? MBanu! What will happen to her children's inheritance?

If her family don't believe in divorce or give her their support, where will she go? She will stay put in the marriage because there is nothing new under the sun and our culture support polygamy even the church will tell her to forgive and forget!

To the bv sil, STAY PUT in your marriage!
Let the mistress forever bear the title BABYMAMA!Don't give her the satisfaction to be wived by your husband. And SIT UP by being wise and planning for your children's future and your happiness because he has a second family.
