Coincidence? But if it just one that got bad and d other is okay, then I might just believe her.

  22. The only way you know if the moi moi was bad is if you had running stomach. Be honest about it. If you cook you would know that, food made out of beans doesn't last long depending on how it is preserved. That is not to say you are wrong but it's not good to bring down others when you are not sure.

    ReplyDelete
  23. She's right some people keep moimoi in the fridge for days without it getting mucous .. that moimoi is bad and she should sue them.

  24. The meme of 'the moment you realised you've eaten one of these' will be so funny.

  25. Did she buy the moi moi on Instagram? Are we mega chicken? Why is she now disturbing people with this? She should take it back to them and complain. Besides like someone rightly pointed out she kept it in her car for hours after eating some that were very okay so maybe the fault is hers. Abi did you fall sick blessing Egbe? I'm not a representative of mega chicken neither do I work there so all ye people that will start shouting. I just hate it when 'celebs' go on Instagram to call out business on something they can easily work out in person.

  26. Nawaoo.....for moimoi to be this bad under 24hours after purchase means it has over stayed its duration @ the restaurant. Too bad. But madam, you should have gone back to them with this and lay the complaint shaa...

  27. She ate 1/2, gave some out. There was nothing wrong with those one's.
She took it home, put in d fridge/freezer. How long was it in d car for dou?
Iv both moin moin ard 12pm before, left if on my desk cos I was busy. Put in d freezer ard 6pm when I got home, I already even smelt it that it was off before putting in freezer. When I warmed it d next day it was spoilt, just threw it out.
Madam I believe it got spoilt before you even got home, thats beans for you. Even fried rice if you don't put in freezer on time, it gets spoilt.

  31. This Blessing talks like an uneducated person. Everyone knows that moin moin does not stay. If you ate it and had no issues with the taste and smell then it was fresh. Did you put it in the freezer immediately you bought it?

I am sure she has never made moin moin in her life that is why she doesn't know it's life span. Annoying thing.

Let educate the entertainer ...if you look closely to the rotten moi moi you will see some moist on the cover thus this means your refrigerator is not cooling properly have it checked Madam and stop trying to bring down a business that feeds hundreds of people due to your ignorance. Its not easy doing business in this country and they are staying afloat for years you need to give it to mega chicken...wait are you not a woman can't you make moi moi if you love it that much u bought five ,you are lazy o.#Learnhowtocook

  35. I've always said I trust nothing on shelves or in cold sections in Nigeria. Nothing can keep at their correct temperature because of the inconsistent power situation and dependence on generators. Better you make your own, even up to baking your own bread.

  36. i had similar experience. In October 2015, i ate Salad and fried rice at Mega Chicken at Apple Junction, Festac Town. I started stooling and vomiting at the same time, the next day i landed at the hospital where i was admitted and paid hospital bill of 61,000.

Since then, i dey run pass the front of Mega Chicken ni o. God forbid bad thing

I have pictures of the food, me in the hospital and my hospital receipt. Please let us be careful with all these eatery foods..

    1. So frm this u concluded it's d food u ate at mega chicken,Apple junction??? Was that d only food u had that day?? That mega chicken,Apple junction is one of the neatest eateries in that neighborhood and their food is first class quality.Don't u think something else might have caused d food poisoning??? I am not saying u are lying ooo but checkikwa ofuma.

    2. Don't bring their apple junction branch into this biko. They r very neat

  37. Stells, biko, what exactly are you supporting here?. We all know the common causes of food spoilage are exposure to heat, light, air etc.

She bought and ate out of it the previous day and it tasted good. Or was her tastebud wacked?.

My guess is the food must have been exposed to immense heat in the car considering the hot weather these days.
Who is even sure of how powerful the fridge she kept it in is.

I don't see any need to blame the eatery and spoil their name over nothing. The moi moi already lasted alost a whole day if not more in her care. This call out isn't so necessary in my opinion.

I always read comments from top to bottom. About the moimoi, Blessing you may just be saying the truth but like so many people rightly said, climate(weather),Light are not "preservation friendly" in this town. However Sorry..

  40. blessing is just acting uneducated, she bought moimoi ate one and it was okay, kept another in the refrigerator till night(not stating how long the moimoi stayed in her car under this hot weather), then you are talking about sueing and also posting on social media, it shows how unintelligent you are, have you checked your fridge, this is cheap publicity for you blessing, I have lost my respect for you.... biko grow up

    ReplyDelete
  41. My take: the eatery must have mixed freshly made moimoi with those of one or two days old which they must have refrigerated. So she was lucky to eat the freshly made one but the old were kept in the fridge and got bad because they were close to their life span. Just today, my husband bought three Meatpies from Tanntalizers and one wasn't freshly made cos it was heavy and the fillings dint taste like a today's pie. It did not have a spoilt taste either. I don't know if anyone understands my point sha.

  42. We have become aware of a recent social media post by Ms Blessing Egbe claiming to have bought a sub-standard product from one of our outlets in Lagos. Naturally, we find this claim to be troubling and also inconsistent with the experience of customers.
We noted the timeline described in Ms Egbe’s post and have thus replicated the conditions the product Ms Egbe bought would have gone through over the period described. In our tests, we observe no appreciable depreciation in the quality of the tested products; indeed we find no significant variation in the overall quality of the product over the timeline described. Based on the foregoing and the fact that we have in place at our outlets appropriate Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)-based food safety management systems, we are doubtful of the veracity of Ms Egbe’s claims.
We are always willing to listen to our customers, and have a system in place to receive valuable feedback from them. We endeavour to respond promptly and adequately to all customer enquiries and complaints when they are made. Should Ms Egbe decide to make a formal complaint, we will be happy to respond to it accordingly.

  43. If the moi moi was made the day Ms Blessing bought it, there is no way it could get spoilt. It shows that it was left over from the previous day that was sold to her.I make moi moi myself in the morning or afternoon as the case maybe sometimes and leave it till evening before loading them in the fridge and it still taste nice for days and weeks even. Believe me, this is something i have done severally.
