HABIS CAKES ABUJA PRESENTS MINIONS OVERDOSE CAKE


This is an entry from Latifat A-I, the CEO of Habis Cakes Abuja. I am a lawyer and a majorly self taught baker. I work from home And I absolutely love what I do. I hope you all will see the passion through which I work and the effort put in to qualify me winner of the competition. 

Here is presenting a minion overdose cake. Minions are fun, quirky and so friendly, this can be seen from their different facial expressions on the cake. kids and adults alike love them. I handcrafted the minions myself from fondant early this month to give them time to dry properly. I made 10 the first time and added three more some days later. 

 I used navy blue icing color to make the deep blue minions and sky blue for the lighter shade. I baked the cakes(cream vanilla flavor),iced them in buttercream to act as a binder and covered with fondant. The blue fondant was used first and then the yellow fondant was carved out in a wavy format. 

 Then I assembled the hand made edible minions on the cake and viola! Suffice to say, the customer was pleasantly surprised!

    Amazing cake, you got a wow factor with your concept. It is extra-ordinary and fantastic but the finishing doesn't look so neat. A bit tacky it appears.

      From these entries, Cynhams cake did try but Habis, Ajays and Ruky nailed it, they beat her hands down. C'mon! Iphie dearie, you voted for friendship sake...

      Lara,when I saw all the beautiful cakes up there, I knew my vote might bring a comment like this. I am a very straightforward person.

      Cynham cakes have delivered excellent customer service in my office..she has been a constant baker every month now for close to a year in my office..infact majority of the staff here patronise her....she doesn't know this,but I know how many bakers I wade off every month not because no one can bake like her,but her delivery is on point.

      She bakes all our cakes. This lady has been consistent too.
      Please forgive me sweets,i didn't vote out of friendship,i voted based on what I know(professionalism,good customer service delivery), I understand that we need to vote what we are seeing right about now,i just couldn't.
      I could not bring myself to.
      We have very talented bakers up there,God bless you all.

    They are all beautiful, but like in every contest, there has to be a winner.
    I vote in thus:
    1: Habis: Beautiful presentation and explanation.
    Intricately crafted cake.

    2:Ajay: I love what you have going on with the Indomie cake.

    3:Ziwscakes: The fact that everything there is edible, is a wow factor.

    4: Cynhams cakes: Beautiful concept, especially considering the fact that the car was made from scratch.

    5: Amazing cakes : First time I'm seeing a gravity defying cake. Nice one.

    6: Kisses cake : You've got a nice one there. Great concept.
