    1. Oh please. As much as I like freedom of speech and reportage, as we are in a democratically elected government etc, I don't seem to like the way and manner in which this Sahara guy is going about it. It would seem like he's using the power of his pen and paper to subdue people. He should always leave his "epic joker" for the last, and not keep spilling every little detail as though you want the person to retreat and not call u out. It's childish and unprofessional.

I am for investigative journalism, I am for the truth without favour or bias. I am for a confident/fearless journalist who would do his job regardless of whose ox is gored. But I would never support this melo dramatic style of bullying to achieve silence. Dino isn't a saint, but that doesn't mean that he cannot speak against whatever you do wrong. You enjoyed it when he was showering ur organization with accolades and commendation, but just because he doesn't agree with you this once, you run to dig deep into his personal activities so that you can silence his public resentment of you. That is what is wrong here. So anyone cannot say their minds again, you'd start to look for what they've done wrong in the past??

Sowore or whatever his name should understand that he cannot run an autocratic style of news room without being challenged or criticized. You cannot be right at all times and you cannot always have the last say. You do not hold the monopoly of privileged information, the only difference is the style and the timing of delivery, and for what it is meant to achieve. Consider using your privileged information in a way that'll not seem like a personal vendetta, lest u lose the potency of ur pen and paper. That's all!!

    2. Sisi, I don't support you on this.
This is Sahara reporters means of livelihood that the Senate wants to clamp down on.
So it's necessary for them to fight back in whatever way they can.
When Dino and others were enjoying the social media in the build up to the elections, they weren't complaining. Now they feel they've achieved their goals and want to bite the hands that fed them.

He who lives in a glass house should not throw stones. Politics is a dirty game aided by the media.

    6. Hahahahaha my Sisi Eko is vexing. I want to see them two fight it out it will be interesting. Someone need to expose that big mouth called Dino, We need to know how Dino is able to afford such flamboyant life style since becoming a senator and the only fearless media who could do it is SR or Premier News.

    7. Sisi Eko, I disagree with your thoughts on this.

SR was used extensively in the last election by these same people trying to clamp them down. Even when the past govt was trying to defend themselves agnst SR, they didnt advocate for the social media bill even with their powers then. They were just spreading any tidbit of news they could get their hands on and this same cheerleading wife beater called Dino supported them while flaunting his extravagant cars all over the place.
Now they want to shush them. Well the truth doesn't work that way. It's two edged and if u bite the good, u must bite the bad too.

Yes, there is bullying going on here but the bullies are the Govt /Dino / Co and not SR

    8. @ Sisi eko if you leave in a glass house don't go about throwing stones or debris. Dino should shut up. Sahara reporters exist for the sole purpose of public information.

    9. I quite understand what u guys are saying, I really do. And I'm not in support of the bill against social media contents etc. But I think SR are beginning to lose their grip. Not only with Dino's case but in general. They also have their shortcomings na. Can Sowore swear that he has never compromised with any of these politicians on matters that should have been published by them? There are many people who are also waiting to narrate how he's been paid in the past to either relinquish a true story, or to publish informations to favour another person. Anyway na dem sabi

  6. The worst thing anyone can do is fight the media especially saharareporters. Dino is surely digging his downfall because they will ridicule him. Social media helped most of them during election, now everyone want to muzzle our freedom out of us same freedom they benefited the past years. imagine Dino not having a say on social media during Jonathan regime, same Dino that fought Jonathan with his so called corruption protest.
The senate are fighting lost battle.
SDK please you should be an active campaigner on the issue because such bill will affect everyone. PMB should caution those hooligans in senate, Nigeria youths are not smiling.

  10. Politicians are stupid & dishonest!
The same social media that was instrumental in getting them into that position, now they badly want to clamp down on it. Foolish lots! This draconian bill will not see the light of the day as a law.

  13. Sahara Reporters pretending they don't know that Bank of America has office in Nigeria? Nothing do Dino. Freedom of speech has no problem. Fair comment has no problem. What has problem? Blackmailers who knowingly publish falsehoods. Nigerians making much ado about nothing new. The crimes of criminal libel and criminal defamation have long been entrenched in Nigeria's statute books, as separate and distinct from civil libel and civil defamation. The difference? If anybody makes a false accusation of a criminal offence, that in itself is justiciable as criminal libel or criminal defamation. Checks and balances.
