Na wa o. Last time it was room mates fighting over the use of pot...then husband beat wife over meat ontop rice. Then uncle beat nephew to death for chopping Xmas rice alone. Now this one wan massacre hin brother ontop ordinary chicken wey no go get thighs and breast am sure. See dagger for chest. It missed his heart arteries by a few inches from the look of things. What poverty and greed will cause ehn. I pray his surgery is successful.

This been going on for ages. People been killing each other for food, small change, who has the remote, who cut off the cable/internet. Hope the man makes a full and speedy recovery. The hospital room looks like hell though.

ReplyDeleteJust finished my week-long oncalls and so tired to d bone.
The last pt I saw had to be transferred to another hosp cos she had 'Quinsy'(throat abscess)...and tho stable myt deteriorate over the night. Can u imagine I saw her requested an ambulance and before I cld even finish speakin wt d oda doc in d hosp am transfering her to ...ambulance was ready n I was just waving at her while on d phone....
Dt patient had ORDINARY throat abscess...bt life here is precious.
Am sorry for ranting...bt it pains me to d bone each time I rmbr d condition of hosp back home...I feel sad cos I went to school 'cheap' in naija (UNILAG)...meaning d govt invested so much in me and I shld be giving back now...bt den I have my personal goals n devt to meet...I want to be a doc that knows my onions well...
Mayb wen am a bit more qualified I wl be back...cos I need to give back to dt society...tho am not appreciated...bt I def need to give back...I cry too many times for naija...
My husband and I r alredi lookin into details of setting up a foundation...we need to start frm somewhere...we lookin at d logistics alredi...
I pray d victim gets d level of care he needs...dt guy lying in dt deserted room shld be in a high depency unit for close monitoring at least....which way naija!

DeleteHe should be in intensive care unit hooked up to all kinds of life saving machine. Some monitoring his heart rate, blood pressure, temperature; and various mechanisms to stabilize and comfort him.

ReplyDeletePoster it is an unfortunate story but you could have told it without publishing photos of the person without their consent. That is very unethical if you are a staff of that hospital, be very careful next time it might be someone who will eventually sue you because u had absolutely no right to take their photos and post them online.
